Ducks Drop Match in Salt Lake City

The Oregon women's tennis team fell to 47th-ranked Utah, 7-0, on Sunday.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Oregon women's tennis team was outmatched against No. 47 Utah, falling, 7-0, on Sunday at the Eccles Tennis Center.

How It Happened: In doubles, the Ducks (6-13, 0-8) forfeited their match on court three, giving Utah (11-5, 2-3) the early advantage. Utah went on to win on court one, grabbing an 1-0 lead heading into singles. 

In singles play, Oregon was forced to forfeit on court six, allowing Utah to pick up another point. Then Utah rattled off wins on the remaining courts to complete the sweep.
