Ducks Prepare for Pac-12 Tournament

The Ducks host the Pac-12 Tournament this weekend and are set to face No. 3 seed Stanford on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon lacrosse team is set to host the second annual Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse Tournament this weekend. The Ducks are seeded at sixth and will face No. 3 seed Stanford in the first round on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Pape Field.
The game will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network with Jason Knapp and Kara Lentz on the call. The Ducks fell to Colorado, 16-6, in the semifinal round of the inaugural 2018 Pac-12 Tournament, after defeating California, 22-9, in the opening round.
GOLDEN GOALIE
Goalkeeper Rachel Hall has captured national attention with her performance in the net this season. The freshman leads the nation in saves 225 saves, with an astounding 38-saves margin between her and No. 2 Arizona State's Berkeey Bonneau's 187 saves. She also leads the country with 13.24 saves average through 17 games and is the only player in the NCAA with a save per game average above 13 saves. Her .493 save percentage also ranks No. 15 in the NCAA.
Hall's 225 saves register as Oregon's new program record for saves in a single season, surpassing Brittany Read's previous record of 179 saves last season. The freshman stands at No. 4 in Oregon program history for career saves. Hall also broke Oregon's single-game saves record for the second time this season with 20 stops against Ohio State on March 30, replacing her previous record of 19 saves at California on March 8. Oregon's previous single-game saves record holder was Anna Poponyak with 18 saves vs. Virginia Tech on April 11, 2009.
WILLIAMS ON THE ATTACK
Senior attacker Shannon Williams leads the Ducks offensively this season with 62 points on 35 goals and 27 assists. Williams ranks second in the Pac-12 for assists and third for points. She leads the team with seven hat tricks this season and has registered a goal in 14 of 16 games, while tallying an assist in 13 games.
The senior captain also became Oregon's all-time leader in points and goals this season. Her 252 career points stand at No. 12 amongst active Division I players, while her 157 career goals rank 25th. She also holds UO's all-time program records in points per game (3.69), goals per game (2.31), set two single-season records with 74 points in 2018 and 4.24 points per game in 2017.
OFFENSIVE LEADERS
Freshman midfielder Jamie Level and sophomore attacker Lillian Stump have made a significant impact to Oregon's offense this season. The pair have combined for 53 points and 46 goals this season to follow senior Shannon Williams as Oregon's second and third-highest scorers. Level has scored 27 points on 22 goals and five assists through 17 games, while Stump has registered 26 points on 24 goals and two assists in 13 games.
Level leads Oregon on the draw this season with 50 draw controls that rank fifth in the Pac-12. The freshman has also recorded three hat tricks this season, while Stump has tallied three hat tricks just in April alone. The pair share Oregon's individual season-high of five goals, each scoring five goals against Arizona State on April 5. Stump went on to register five goals again against Colorado on April 19.
DEFENSIVE LEADERS
Junior Gracyn Elliott and senior Madeline Reece have been key to Oregon's defense this season. The pair follow freshman Jamie Level in draw controls with Reece registering 39 draw controls and Elliott grabbing 34 draw controls. Reece leads the team with 15 caused turnovers, while Elliott follows with 13 caused turnovers. Meanwhile, Elliott leads the Ducks with 35 ground balls, while Reece ranks second on the team with 34 ground balls. Freshman Logan Gierke has also made a significant impact with 30 ground balls.
