Dail Named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week

Jordan Dail earned her first career Pac-12 pitcher of the week honor after throwing three complete games in a span of 24 hours over the weekend in Missouri
EUGENE, Ore. - Jordan Dail has been named the Pac-12 pitcher of the week after leading the Ducks to a 3-1 weekend in Missouri with three complete-game wins, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Dail was stellar for the Ducks in two starts against Pittsburgh and one against Missouri, going 3-0 with three complete games in a span of 24 hours. The sophomore left-hander allowed just five runs on seven hits over 19.0 total innings pitched, racking up 23 strikeouts with only seven walks. Dail was especially good in Oregon's 4-1 win over Missouri on Saturday, striking out seven over seven complete innings while allowing just one run on two hits and holding the Tigers hitless through the first four innings.
The Forest, Va., native has been an absolute workhorse for the Ducks this season, her first after transferring from Virginia Tech. Dail leads the Pac-12 and is seventh in the NCAA with 152.2 innings pitched while ranking third in the conference and 15th nationally with 165 strikeouts. The southpaw also leads the Pac-12 in appearances (28) and games started (23), and is second in batters struck out looking (44) and tied for fourth in wins (13).
This is the first career Pac-12 pitcher of the week award for Dail and the third conference honor for the Ducks this season. Rachel Cid was named the first Pac-12 freshman of the week of the season on Feb. 12 and Shaye Bowden earned Pac-12 player of the week honors on Feb. 26.
