EUGENE, Ore. – The opening week of May features several meets for the Oregon track and field teams including the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford and the Pac-12 Multi-Events Championships in Tucson. Thursday's distance-focused Payton Jordan meet begins at 7 p.m. (PT).

Defending NCAA champion Jessica Hull will run her first 1,500-meter race of the season, running in the invitational section. She opened her outdoor campaign at Stanford with a personal-best performance at 5,000 meters, clocking a time of 15:34.93 which currently ranked No. 3 in the nation.
The Ducks will have three other NCAA top-10 performers in action Thursday with Susan Ejore (800 meters, No. 3), Cooper Teare (5,000 meters, No. 2) and Carmela Cardama Baez (10,000 meters, No. 10). Ejore will run in her signature event, looking to improve on her personal-best 2:03.09 from the Sun Angel Classic in early April.
Teare and Cardama Baez will both drop down in distance at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Teare is one of five Mem of Oregon entered in the various sections of the 1,500 meters. Reed Brown and James West will take on the invitational section at 9:20 p.m.; Teare and Charlie Hunter are in section two. Cardama Baez enters the meet with a 5,000-meter PR of 16:12.15 from last year's Bryan Clay Invitational.
Following the meet, members of the men's distance crew will head to McMinnville, Ore., to compete in the Linfield Open. Brown, Hunter and West are among those scheduled to double back Saturday to run at 800 meters.

The Ducks' postseason officially gets underway this weekend with the league's multis gathering at Roy P. Drachman Stadium at the University of Arizona. Day one is Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m.
Max Vollmer and Dalen Hargett are entered in the decathlon while Keira McCarrell is set to represent Oregon in the heptathlon. Two weeks ago, all three registered lifetime-best point totals at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Vollmer finished the meet with 7,840 points which currently ranks fifth in the NCAA. The score also made Vollmer the No. 7 performer in program history. In the heptathlon, McCarrell enters the Pac-12 meet with a personal best of 5,336 points, good for the ninth-best mark in Oregon history.
