Ducks Look to Rebound at UW

No. 8 Oregon and Washington play for the only time during the regular season Saturday at 12:45 p.m. in Seattle (CBS).

THE STARTING FIVE
• 1 – Oregon is the only school in the nation with its men's basketball, women's basketball and football teams all currently ranked in the Associated Press top 10. Football is No. 5, women's basketball is No. 6 and men's basketball is No. 8.
• 2 – Entering the weekend, Oregon is one of just four teams nationally with at least five NET Quadrant 1 wins (Arizona, Memphis, at Michigan, Seton Hall, at Utah). Baylor, Kansas and Seton Hall are the others.
• 3 – With another seven assists, Payton Pritchard will become the sixth player in Pac-12 history with 1,500 career points and 600 career assists. The other five are Gary Payton (Oregon State), Jordan McLaughlin (USC), Damon Stoudamire (Arizona), Tyus Edney (UCLA) and Jason Gardner (Arizona).
• 4 – With another seven assists and three rebounds, Payton Pritchard will become the first player in Pac-12 history with 1,500 career points, 500 career rebounds and 600 career assists (Utah's Andre Miller also reached those career totals prior to the Utes' joining the Pac-12).
• 5 – Payton Pritchard is the only player in the nation averaging at least 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. Jan. 4 at Utah, he passed UO Hall of Famer Ron Lee (572/1972-76) for second in UO career assists.
• BENCH – Now the winningest coach in Oregon history, Dana Altman is one of six active head coaches in NCAA Division I who have posted a winning record for the last 22 consecutive seasons. The other five - Mike Krzyzewski, Tom Izzo, Roy Williams, Bill Self and Jim Boeheim - are all in the Hall of Fame.

PRITCHARD ON THE BRINK OF A PAC-12 FIRST
With three more rebounds and seven more assists, Payton Pritchard will become the first player in Pac-12 history with 1,500 career points, 500 career rebounds and 600 career assists. There are currently five players in Pac-12 history with 1,500 career points and 600 career assists - Gary Payton (Oregon State), Jordan McLaughlin (USC), Damon Stoudamire (Arizona), Tyus Edney (UCLA) and Jason Gardner (Arizona) - but none of those five reached 500 career rebounds. Utah's Andre Miller is in the 1,500/500/600 club, but he reached those totals prior to the Utes' joining the Pac-12.

PRITCHARD NAMED SPORTING NEWS MIDSEASON ALL-AMERICA FIRST TEAM
Adding to his growing list of accolades, senior guard Payton Pritchard was named to the Sporting News Midseason All-America first team on Thursday. He was joined on the Sporting News first team by Markus Howard of Marquette, Luke Garza of Iowa, Myles Powell of Seton Hall and Obi Toppin of Dayton.

PRITCHARD GARNERS NATIONAL HONORS AGAIN
For the second time this season, Payton Pritchard has been recognized nationally for his efforts on the court. He was named the NCAA March Madness national player of the week following his efforts in the Ducks' sweep of Arizona and Arizona State. Pritchard had 17 points - including the game-tying bucket that sent the game to overtime - along with seven rebounds and six assists against No. 24 Arizona. He followed that by tying his career high with 29 points against Arizona State, hitting 6-of-9 from three-point range. Earlier this season, he was named the Oscar Robertson national player of the week following the Ducks' win at No. 5 Michigan.

DUARTE HEATING UP
After reaching double figures just once in his first five games, Chris Duarte has scored in double figures in 12 of the last 13 contests. He's averaging 14.7 points per game in that span with a high of 31 Dec. 29 against Alabama State. Last weekend, he had 17 points and eight rebounds against No. 24 Arizona, and 20 points and six rebounds versus Arizona State. He has a career-high five steals to go with 15 points Thursday at Washington State.

JUISTON JUMP STARTS SEASON
After missing the month of December due to a knee injury suffered Nov. 29 against North Carolina, Shakur Juiston regained his early season form with an 11-point, nine-rebound effort Jan. 11 against Arizona State. It was his third nine-plus rebound effort of the season.

SIXTH MAN
Sophomore Will Richardson has been sublime off the bench this season. His latest effort was a career-high 21-point game Jan. 9 versus Arizona where he scored the go-ahead bucket with :15 left in overtime. He has scored in double figures in seven of the last 11 games. Richardson leads the Pac-12 with nine double-figure scoring games off the bench. Additionally, he leads the Pac-12 in three-point field goal percentage (.513). He tied the Matthew Knight Arena record with six steals Dec. 29 against Alabama State.

PRITCHARD PRODUCING AT PROLIFIC LEVELS
Payton Pritchard is the only player in Division I averaging at least 19.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. Pritchard is also averaging 1.7 steals a game.

PRITCHARD WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE OF UO CAREER RECORDS
Senior Payton Pritchard has a chance to break a number of school career records, including steals, assists, wins, games played and games started. He currently has 194 steals and 593 assists. Kenya Wilkins (1993-97) currently holds the records in both categories (213 steals, 614 assists) and both are well within Pritchard's reach. Pritchard is just the third member of Oregon's 90-win club (players who have played in at least 90 victories as a Duck) and currently sits alone in second with 95. The career leader in wins is Johnathan Loyd, who won 97 games as a Duck between 2010-14. Prichard has also played 131 games at Oregon. Loyd is the Ducks' all-time leader in games played with 144. Pritchard has started 127 games, six behind E.J. Singler (132/2009-13).

PRITCHARD NOW SECOND IN BOTH UO CAREER ASSISTS AND STEALS
Payton Pritchard passed UO Hall of Famer Ron Lee (572/1972-76) for second in UO career assists Jan. 4 at Utah. He now has 593. Pritchard is also second in UO career steals with 194.

PRITCHARD TOPS NCAA IN MINUTES PLAYED
Payton Pritchard played in 1,349 minutes in 2018-19 to lead Division I in minutes played. He edged Virginia's Kyle Guy (1,344) by five minutes. He leads the Pac-12 this season (636 minutes).

PRITCHARD LEADS NCAA IN CONSECUTIVE STARTS
Senior guard Payton Pritchard has started 127 consecutive games, a streak that leads the NCAA. Pritchard came off the bench his first four games as a freshman before moving into the starting lineup for the last 127 in a row.

PRITCHARD REACHES 1,500 POINTS, UO TOP 10
Payton Pritchard became the 14th 1,500-point scorer in program history Dec. 18 against Montana. Thursday at Washington State, he passed a trio of Duck legends who are tied with 1,644 points - Stan Love (1968-71), Fred Jones (1998-02) and Malik Hairston (2004-08) - to move into seventh place. Pritchard now has 1,652 points. Orlando Williams (1,674/1991-95) is sixth.

PRITCHARD SECOND IN THE PAC-12 IN ASSISTS
Payton Pritchard is second in the Pac-12 in assists at 5.9 per game. He is the only player ranked in the Pac-12's top five in scoring and assists, averaging 19.4 points per game (fourth). By scoring 20 points with 11 assists Dec. 7 against Hawaii, Pritchard became the first Duck with a 20-point, 10-assist game since Johnathan Loyd in 2013-14.
