01/19/20 | Women's Basketball
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's basketball team maintained its momentum from Thursday's top-10 win with another blowout victory on Sunday afternoon, rolling past California, 105-55, in front of 10,725 fans in Matthew Knight Arena.
The No. 6 Ducks (15-2, 5-1) were led by a 31-point performance from junior Satou Sabally and 22 points on 6-of-8 three-point shooting by junior Erin Boley. Oregon shot 60.9 percent from the field and 58.8 percent from behind the arc as a team with five different players scoring in double figures.
Sabrina Ionescu followed up her career-high 37-point outing against Stanford with 14 points and 10 assists, moving her into a tie with Gary Payton for the all-time Pac-12 record for men's and women's with 938 in her career.
Including Thursday's 32-point win over the No. 3 Cardinal, the Ducks outscored their opponents by a whopping 82 points in their most dominant weekend of the season thus far.
How it Happened: The Ducks jumped out to an 18-7 lead behind an energetic Minyon Moore, who hit a pair of three-pointers and added four assists and two steals through the first five minutes. Sabally took over for the rest of the quarter, single-handedly fueling a 9-0 Oregon run that put the Ducks up 29-12. The junior made a lay-in with three seconds remaining to give her 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the opening quarter.

Sabally continued her dominance in the second quarter, following a Jaz Shelley lay-in with a pair of inside buckets of her own and a three-pointer from the top of the arc to make it 40-15. Boley drilled a three with 1:36 left in the half to help give Oregon a 30-point advantage going into halftime. Sabally nearly outscored the Golden Bears (8-9, 0-6) on her own through the first 20 minutes, taking 22 points into the locker room with the Ducks leading 57-27.
Leading 61-34 early in the third quarter, the Ducks ripped off a 17-3 scoring run that started with a bucket by each of Oregon's five starters. Moore and Boley knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to make it 76-37, and Sabally made it a 41-point lead with a fastbreak lay-in. Oregon took a 42-point lead into the final quarter after outscoring Cal 26-14 in the third.
Boley caught fire in the fourth quarter, knocking down all three of her three-point attempts for nine of her 22 points. Boley's final triple made it a 50-point game and put the Ducks over the century mark for the third time this season and second time in Pac-12 play. Oregon assisted on seven of its nine field goals in the final 10 minutes, finishing the game with an impressive 28 assists on 42 total buckets.

Who Stood Out: Sabally finished an impressive 11-of-14 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line in her best offensive game of the season, and Boley's season-high 22 points and six three-pointers broke her out of a recent shooting slump. Ruthy Hebard went 8-of-10 from the floor for 16 points while adding six boards, and Moore finished with 11 points and six assists while going 3-of-3 from three-point range. Ionescu took over the team lead with her 10th double-double of the year while finishing four rebounds shy of her 23rd career triple-double. Oregon forced Cal into 22 total turnovers while recording 14 total steals, including four by Boley and three by Moore.
Notable: Sabally became the fourth different Duck to score 30-plus points in a game this season … Ionescu is now one assist away from both breaking Gary Payton's all-time Pac-12 record and from tying Ticha Penicherio (Old Dominion, 1995-98) for No. 8 in NCAA women's basketball history … Hebard moved past Hall of Famer Bev Smith for No. 4 on the Oregon all-time scoring list with 2,078 in her career … Ionescu is now alone in fifth in Oregon history with 48 career double-doubles … Ionescu notched double-digit assists for the eighth time this season and the 37th time in her career … Oregon has now won five of its last seven meetings with the Golden Bears and leads the all-time series, 41-33.
Up Next: The Ducks face one their biggest weekends of the season next week with a pair of Civil War games against No. 8 Oregon State. Oregon will host the Beavers on Friday in MKA (7 p.m., Pac-12 Network), before visiting Corvallis on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m., ESPN).
