01/20/20 | Women's Basketball
EUGENE, Ore. – Sabrina Ionescu has been named the Pac-12 player of the week for the second time this season after leading the Oregon women's basketball team to a pair of dominant wins and reaching multiple impressive milestones, the conference announced on Monday.
Ionescu was also named the espnW national player of the week for the second time this year.
This is the 10th career Pac-12 player of the week award for Ionescu, putting her alone at No. 2 in conference history. Chiney Ogwumike (Stanford, 2011-14) is the all-time leader with 18 career weekly honors.
Ionescu enjoyed one of the greatest games of her storied career in the Ducks' 87-55 win over No. 3 Stanford on Thursday, erupting for a career-high 37 points while matching her career-high with 14 made field goals. The senior's stellar scoring performance pushed her career points total to 2,265, moving her past Allison Lang (2,252, 1980-84) for the program's all-time scoring record that stood for 36 years.

The Walnut Creek, Calif., native added 11 rebounds and seven assists against the Cardinal and surpassed 900 career rebounds. Ionescu is the first player in NCAA women's basketball history to record 2,000-plus points, 900-plus rebounds and 900-plus assists.
In Sunday's 50-point win over California, Ionescu posted her fourth straight double-double and team-leading 10th this season with 14 points and 10 assists, while also adding six rebounds. Ionescu raised her career assist total to 938, moving her into a tie with the legendary Gary Payton for the most in Pac-12 men's and women's history. Ionescu now ranks fifth in Oregon history with 48 career double-doubles.
Ionescu will enter Civil War weekend with career totals of 2,279 points, 910 rebounds and 938 assists as she continues her quest to 2,000/1,000/1,000. On the season, Ionescu is averaging a team-best 17.4 points per game to go with 9.1 rebounds and an NCAA-leading 8.6 assists per game.
The Ducks (15-2, 5-1), who moved up two spots to No. 4 today in the Associated Press top-25 poll, will host No. 7 Oregon State on Friday night in Matthew Knight Arena (7 p.m., Pac-12 Network) before going to Corvallis for a rematch on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m., ESPN). Both games are sold out.
