EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon women's basketball team has added forward Taylor Hosendove to its 2021-22 roster, head coach Kelly Graves announced on Wednesday.
Â
A 6-foot-1 transfer from Georgia State, Hosendove will join the Ducks as a senior with two years of eligibility available. She led the Panthers in scoring and rebounding each of the last two seasons.
Â
"Taylor is a good addition to our program," said Graves. "She is a versatile player who can play both inside and out and do a little bit of everything for us. I really love the toughness that she will bring to our team. We're excited to get her to Eugene and get to work."
Â
Hosendove averaged 12.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for Georgia State in 2020-21, shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and 34.5 percent from three-point range. She also led the Panthers with 33 steals and was second in both assists (54) and blocked shots (23) while starting 23 of 24 games.
Â
A Los Angeles native, Hosendove scored in double figures 14 times as a junior while racking up eight double-doubles. She had an 18-point, 16-rebound performance vs. Tennessee State in the second game of the season, and she went 10-of-14 from the floor for a career-high 28 points while grabbing 12 rebounds on February 11 at Georgia Southern.
Â
In her first season at Georgia State in 2019-20, Hosendove averaged 11.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game while shooting 43.7 percent from the field. She had nine double-doubles and ranked in the top five in the Sun Belt Conference in rebounding.
Hosendove started her collegiate career at Clemson in 2018-19, averaging 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 32 games. She joined the Tigers after starring at Westlake High School, where she led her team to a Georgia 7A State Championship.
