Oregon plays Loyola Marymount in first-round action Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon volleyball team, the No. 10 national seed, will start its NCAA Tournament run Friday night against Loyola Marymount at 7 p.m. inside Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks were chosen as one of 16 hosts when the 64-team bracket was revealed Sunday on the NCAA Selection Show.
Â
"It's a source of pride for our group," head coach Matt Ulmer said. "You put in a lot of work and try to get better every day. I always love when people get rewarded for their hard work and I think our group has done things the right way. We get a chance to be home for two more matches—one given—for the weekend and that's real exciting. The group is ready for it."
Â
This will mark the sixth time for Oregon to host the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks also welcome Arkansas and Utah State to Eugene.
