Ducks Head To Denver For Two Matches

EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon heads back out on the road for a pair of matches in Denver, Colo., taking on Wisconsin in a neutral site match on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Denver on Sunday at 9 a.m.Â

The Ducks look to bounce back after dropping a pair of matches at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C. Oregon lost a hard-fought 4-2 decision to Tulsa to open the weekend before falling, 4-1, to Charlotte on Sunday.Â
Freshman Sophie Luescher has led the way for the Ducks so far in the dual season, going 2-0 highlighted by a win over the No. 43 player in the nation in Sunday's match when she knocked off Charlotte's Margaux Maquet on Sunday, 6-2, 6-4. Ares Teixido Garcia is also unbeaten early on in the dual season at 2-0, winning a three-set match on Friday against Tulsa, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to improve to 7-1 on the season in singles play.Â
Following this weekend's matches, Oregon will return home to host Eastern Washington (Feb. 11, 5 p.m.) and Portland (Feb. 13, 2 p.m.).Â
