Ducks Fall to Aggies in NIT

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Oregon men's basketball fell short today in the second round of the NIT, losing 75-60 to top-seeded Texas A&M.
How It Happened: Oregon scored the opening basket to take a three-point lead, before Texas A&M took over and led the remainder of the game. The Ducks struggled from the field and settled for contested three-pointers. UO hit just three-of-13 three-point attempts in the half and was outscored by the Aggies 22-8 in the paint. At the break, the Ducks were behind 37-28.
Things continued to go the way of the Aggies in the second half, with the Ducks closing to within eight points at the 13-minute mark after falling behind double-digits. With momentum in-hand, Oregon hoped to close the gap even further, but poor shooting and poor paint protection gave Texas A&M a 10-point cushion that they built on the rest of the way.
Who Stood Out: N'Faly Dante was the bright spot for the Ducks, notching 13 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.
