Golfers Ready for NCAA Regional

Oregon is in the NCAA Regionals for the 15th straight year. The Ducks are headed to the Stockton Regional that will be played Monday through Wednesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park. The top five teams from the Stockton Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships May 27-June 1 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

OFF THE TEE
• The Ducks are the No. 5 seed for the Stockton Regional.
• The last time the Ducks played in the Stockton Regional - 2018 - was also the last time that Oregon advanced to the NCAA Championships.
• The Ducks have five top-five finishes in seven spring tournaments: The Prestige (2nd), the Bandon Dunes Championship (1st), the Duck Invitational (5th), The Goodwin (5th) and the Pac-12 Championships (4th). Oregon also won the Saint Mary's Invitational in the fall.
• Owen Avrit was named to the 2022 All-Pac-12 second team. He has had 14 sub-par rounds in 34 total rounds in 2021-22, including a career-low 64 at the Maui Jim Invitational. He leads the team with 99 birdies this season.
• Yuki Moriyama finished third at the Pac-12 Championships for the second year in a row.
• Freshman Greyson Leach tied for first at the Husky Individual Invitational, shooting a 10-under 206.
• Eric Doyle set the UO freshman record with a 63 in the final round of The Goodwin. That was one shot off the school record of 62 shared by four players.
