VanSlooten Claims Fourth Freshman-of-the-Week Honor

EUGENE, Ore. —Oregon forward Grace VanSlooten, who produced her fifth 20-point game of the season at California Friday, was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time, the conference office announced Monday.
VanSlooten registered a team-high 20 points and nine rebounds in the Ducks' 78-73 win at Cal, going 8-for-15 from the field. It was her team-leading fifth 20-point outing of the season, the most 20-point games by a UO freshman since Satou Sabally's five such games during the 2017-18 season.
The Toledo, Ohio, product added 11 points and six rebounds in a 62-54 loss at No. 3 Stanford Sunday. She averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the Ducks' 1-1 week in the Bay Area.
VanSlooten has collected five total Pac-12 weekly awards this season (four freshman, one player), as the Ducks have now claimed a conference-leading seven Pac-12 weekly awards this season. Endyia Rogers earned player-of-the-week recognition on Dec. 12 to go with Chance Gray's freshman-of-the-week honor on Jan. 16.
The seven total weekly honors mark Oregon's most since the 2017-18 season (10) and five freshman-of-the-week awards are UO's most in a season since 2016-17 (7).
Oregon (14-7, 5-5) returns to home to take on Colorado Friday at 7 p.m. (Pac-12 Network).
