12/15/23 | Women's Tennis
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head women's tennis coach Courtney Nagle announced the team's spring schedule Friday, which gets underway Jan. 19 at home against Portland State.
Â
The Ducks' 22-match schedule consists of 10 home matches at the Student Tennis Center (STC) and nine total matches against teams that made the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Oregon will play six nonconference home matches and four Pac-12 matches in the STC.
Â
After opening the season against the Vikings, UO will head to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the ITA Kickoff Weekend, taking on host and defending national champion North Carolina on Jan. 27 before playing either Charlotte or Kentucky the following day. Charlotte also qualified for the NCAA Tournament and was ranked No. 40 in the final ITA rankings a season ago.
Â
Oregon then plays four straight home nonconference matches to begin the month of February, with matches against Eastern Washington (Feb. 2), Saint Mary's (Feb. 4), UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 10) and Denver (Feb. 11). The Ducks will then embark on a six-match road trip from Feb. 17-March 10, including beginning Pac-12 play at Colorado on March 8 and Utah on March 10.
Â
UO will return home to face Portland on March 16, which begins a five-match homestand, before its Pac-12 home opener on March 22 against Arizona State. During the stretch, the Ducks will also face Arizona, Washington and Washington State.
Â
The regular season ends on the road at California (April, 5), Stanford (April 7), USC (April 12) and UCLA (April 14).
Â
In total, the Ducks' schedule features 13, and potentially 14, matches against teams that finished in last season's ITA final rankings (top 75). UO checked in at No. 60 in the final ITA poll of 2022.
