Oregon Concludes Home Stretch Against Kennesaw State

EUGENE, Ore. - The Ducks wrap up a stretch of three home games Sunday against Kennesaw State.
Oregon will look to rebound from last weekend's defeat to Niagara as well as take the rematch against the Owls. Last season, Kennesaw State claimed a 14-13 over the Ducks in Georgia.

THE DUCKS vs. THE OWLS
Oregon and Kennesaw State face off for the second time in a rematch from a season ago. The Owls took last year's game, 14-13, in Georgia. Sophomore Gabby Cleveland scored her first two career goals in last season's contest. Kennesaw State enters Sunday at 1-2 after falling to Longwood last weekend.
MORGAN IN THE MIDDLE
A focal point of the Oregon offense, junior and team captain Morgan McCarthy is off to a strong start in the 2023 season. The midfielder became the first Duck at the position to take home All-Pac 12 honors, after receiving second-team recognition last year. McCarthy has a combined eight goals through the first two games this season.
» Scored a career-high five goals against Niagara with three coming in the fourth quarter.
» Currently carries a 13-game scoring streak, totaling 28 goals in the stretch.
» Finished last season with the third-most draw controls in a season in school history (69). Has a team-leading nine this season.
» One of 11 underclassmen nationally last year to total 65-plus draw controls and 25-or-more goals.
QUACK ATTACK
A season ago, Oregon was able to rely on several players for offensive production, with seven different Ducks recording a hat trick. Among the returners are Morgan McCarthy and seniors Katie Collins, Alyssa Wright and Bailey Smith. Through the first two games of the season, three different Ducks have recorded hat tricks and 12 have found the back of the net.
» Sophomore Lauren Rismani currently leads the Ducks in assists (4) and is second on the team in points (5) after scoring her first career goal against Niagara. As a freshman, Rismani had six assists in nine games.
» Senior Katie Collins scored two goals in both games to start the year, the first time in her career with multiple goals in consecutive games. Collins currently possesses the Ducks' second-longest active scoring streak at six games.
» Three Oregon players came away with a hat trick in the opener: Morgan McCarthy, Haley Cummins and Riley Taylor. Cummins and Taylor each secured their first career collegiate hat tricks.
