Taylor Earns Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

EUGENE, Ore. - After starting for the first time as a Duck, sophomore Haley Taylor received Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

The Sandy, Utah, native had a highlight day, finishing with career-bests in goals (3), assists (2) and points (5) to help the Ducks earn a 15-8 victory over Kennesaw State. The performance was Taylor's second career game with multiple goals and third multi-point outing.

After scoring six goals in eight games last season, Taylor has already netted four goals through the opening month and has surpassed last season's point total with seven (4 goals, 3 assists).

The sophomore has helped Oregon get off to a rapid start to the 2023 season, with the Ducks' offense ranking eighth in the nation with an average of 36.33 shots per game. Oregon ended Sunday's game with a 39-18 shot advantage over the Owls.

Taylor becomes just the third Duck player ever to take home the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award and joins defender Logan Gierke in earning weekly recognition from the conference this season. The pair are the first Oregon teammates to win player of the week awards in the Pac-12 since joining the conference.
