SEATTLE – Stevie Hansen struck out nine Seattle U. batters to pick up her 12th victory of the season in a 9-0 shutout Monday at Logan Field.
During the third inning, Allee Bunker singled for her 248th career hit, moving past current UO assistant coach Nikki (Udria) Ragin for third on the school's career hits list. Ragin had 247 hits in her All-American career as a Duck from 2014-17.
No. 21 Oregon (18-6) score
d in every inning but the fourth in the last of 25 consecutive games away from Eugene to open the 2023 season.
After a 2-2 road trip to Seattle, the Ducks will host No. 12 Stanford Friday at 6 p.m. in the 2023 home opener at Jane Sanders Stadium.
"It definitely felt good for all of us," said Vallery Wong. "It showed that we're Oregon softball and that we're going to keep pushing and get ready for Stanford."

How it Happened: KK Humphreys led off the game with an opposite field home run to right field, her fifth of the season.
In the second inning, Wong walked and went to third on Ariel Carlson's double. Wong scored on Tehya Bird's RBI ground out for a 2-0 Oregon lead.
The Ducks big inning came in the third. After Bunker's single, Terra McGowan singled down the left field line to put two runners on for Alyssa Daniell who homered to right center for a 5-0 lead. It was the fifth homer of the season for Daniell, who matched her career high with three RBI.

The next batter, Wong, doubled to left center. After a pitching change, Hanna Delgado walked before Carlson hit her second double of the day to score to score both runners.
Leading 7-0, Oregon tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning.
Wong and Delgado both singled. Carlson then drove in a run with her third hit of the game. Pinch-hitter Remmington Hewitt had an RBI ground out that scored the Ducks' ninth run of the game.
Hansen (12-3) stuck out the side in the first inning. She didn't allow a runner to reach third until the fifth when Seattle (19-7) had a runner 60 feet away with one out. But Hansen struck out the final to batters in the fifth to end the game via the run rule.
"Our whole pitching staff talked about getting ahead today so that was a real focus and I think we did a good job of doing that," said Hansen.
Noteworthy: Hansen matched her season high with nine strikeouts. It was her third shutout of the season and fifth career … Carlson matched her career high with three hits … McGowan threw out her seventh runner of the season in the second inning … Bunker's run moved her into a tie for eighth with Samantha Pappas (2010-13) on the UO career list with 147.

"I think we were really tested this weekend. After the weekend, we weren't happy with losing yesterday (to Washington) but I think winning that first game gave us some real grit inside like we're not going to be denied."
