STANFORD, Calif. – Five individuals were in the top 25 as No. 22 Oregon was in fourth place following the first two rounds of the Pac-12 Championships, played Friday at the 6,727-yard, par 70 Stanford Golf Course.
Owen Avrit was tied for 11th at 4-under 136, Greyson Leach and Nate Stember were a shot back in 16th, Greg Solhaug was tied for 22nd at 2-under and Aiden Krafft was tied for 25th at 1-under.
"We played solidly," said coach Casey Martin. "We sort of let a few go late in the day. The golf course is a very good test. Fast with plenty of rough."
No. 4 Arizona State led the tournament at 24-under 676. Colorado was second at minus-20, followed by Washington (14-under), Oregon (13-under) and No. 9 Stanford (9-under).
How It Happened: Avrit opened his day with a 67 in the first round and closed with a 69 in round two, but a double bogey on No. 18 kept him out of the top 10.
Leach was the only other Duck under par in both rounds Friday, opening with a 68, including an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole, and carding a 69 in round two.
Stember matched Avrit's opening round 67, which tied his low round for the season. He had a 70 in the second round.
Solhaug and Krafft both had even-par 70s in the first round but went below par in round two. Solhaug finished with a 68, while Krafft had a 69.

Head Coach Casey Martin
"We need to sink a few more putts to make a run. I'm anxious to see it happen tomorrow."
Notable: The eagle by Leach was his team-leading fifth of the season … Krafft also had an eagle in the first round (No. 16) … Oregon has counted all 28 of Avrit's rounds this season … The four-round Pac-12 Tournament is a play six, count five format.
