Bunker Named Pac-12 Player of the Week
05/01/23 | Softball
SAN FRANCISCO – After leading No. 14 Oregon to four wins last week, including a sweep at California, Allee Bunker was named Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday. It is the first career Pac-12 award for the fifth-year senior.
Â
Bunker hit .600 (9-of-15) and drove in 10 runs as the Ducks ran their winning streak to 13 games.
Â
She had a double, a grand slam home run and an .867 slugging percentage.
Â
Bunker tied her single-game career high with five RBIs and scored three runs in the Ducks' 13-2 win at Pacific on Thursday.
Â
She followed that with four RBIs in the series-opening win against Cal on Friday. She had at least one hit in all four games.
Â
The Huntington Beach, Calif., native is the only player in program history ranked in the top five in career hits, doubles, runs and RBIs.
Â
Bunker leads the team in batting average (.408), hits (62), doubles (12), RBI (51) and slugging percentage (.678).
Â
Bunker's win made it back-to-back player of the week honors for Oregon. Catcher Terra McGowan won the award last week.
Â
The Ducks close out the regular season by hosting No. 22 Utah in a three-game series that begins Friday at 6 p.m. at Jane Sanders Stadium.
