The Ducks resumed practice Monday after their first off day of preseason camp.
The Oregon football team was back in action Monday, resuming preseason camp practices after a day off Sunday.
The Ducks were in shells Monday and are scheduled to be in full pads Tuesday. They'll be off from practice on Thursday of this week, and they'll cap the week with a scrimmage on Saturday.
Following Monday's practice, local media interviewed quarterback Bo Nix, defensive lineman Casey Rogers and defensive line coach Tony Tuioti. A few highlights of their comments followed, with full video linked below.
Nix on the differences between this preseason and his first back in 2019: "How I go about practice is much different. I've grown from different mistakes. I think the overall processing of a defense is much different. I'm much more familiar with the nuances of playing the position, like movements and cadences and all that stuff that you've done a lot in the past, so you're kind of used to it. I feel kind of relaxed and calm back there. It's a good feeling. Doing it for this long, I guess you better feel that way."

Nix on the relationships among Oregon's quarterbacks: "We're very close. We enjoy hanging out with each other. Right now we're having a lot of meeting time. We're spending a lot of time together. We're seeing a lot of each other's good plays and bad plays. We've been encouraging each other. We have a healthy room. I think we do a good job of complimenting each other when it gets tough. I think that's what a QB room is supposed to be like."
Rogers on his areas for improvement this offseason: "For me personally it's kind of been my size, my weight and my strength. This offseason I was actually able to get a full spring ball in, get winter workouts in, where last year with transferring and all that whole process, I missed spring ball and I only had five weeks to really prepare for the season."
Tuioti on having his son, Teitum, as a freshman on defense: "You know, as a dad in this profession, you miss a lot, just being around your kids and not being able to see them. But to see him in the building and see him in meetings and, you know, see him out at practice, it's a really, really cool experience."
Tuioti on the versatility of Brandon Dorlus: "He can play a lot of different positions and that's what makes him really good. … He's really improved a lot in his technique in the run game. He's put on 10 pounds, 15 pounds, from where he was last year. So he's able to set some hard edges for us in the run game and then be able to collapse the pocket if he's rushing inside, but he's done a tremendous job really get himself physically ready for the season."
