
Vandecasteele Advances in NCAA Singles Championship

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oregon men's tennis senior Quinn Vandecasteele advanced to the round of 32 at the NCAA Singles Championship on Monday.
Vandecasteele faced No. 48 ranked Petar Jovanovic from Mississippi State in the first round and advanced to the round of 32 with a 6-1, 6-3 sweep. Action returns on Tuesday when Vandecasteele will face No. 30 ranked Jack Anthrop from Ohio State.
The Murray, Utah native is the first Oregon player to play in the singles tournament since Thomas Laurent in 2019 and joins Laurent as the only two players to make the tournament since Sven Swinnen in 2005.
In the second round, Vandecasteele fell 6-3, 6-1 to Anthrop.
