Krafft Named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon's Aiden Krafft was named the Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week following his individual title at the Sahalee Players Championship last weekend.
Krafft opened the season in spectacular fashion, firing a 4-under 212 to claim the individual championship, the first of his collegiate career. The junior was the lone golfer in the field to finish all three rounds under par while tying for the lead in par-5 scoring average (4.33, -8) and tying for second in total birdies (12).
Krafft is the first Duck to medal since Nate Stember won the Duck Invitational in 2023 and is the first UO golfer to start the season with a win since Norman Xiong led the field at the 2017 Rod Myers Invitational. This also marks the first time an Oregon golfer has earned weekly awards from the Big Ten Conference.
Joining Krafft in earning Men's Golfer of the Week honors was Nebraska's Rudy Sautron after he captured medalist honors at the Gopher Invitational.
Krafft and the Ducks return to the course next weekend, heading back up to the Seattle area for The Tindall at Aldarra Golf Club. First round action gets underway on Monday, Sept. 23.
