03/18/25 | Softball
EUGENE, Ore. – One day after earning player of the week honors from the Big Ten, Katie Flannery was named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA national Player of the Week.
Â
Flannery hit .692 with four home runs and 12 RBI to help lead No. 8 Oregon to a series win at Washington.
Â
The sophomore from Birmingham, Ala., was 9-for-13 with a double and a triple in addition to the four homers, scored nine runs and had a 1.846 slugging percentage.
Â
Flannery homered twice and had 5 RBI in the Ducks' 9-0 win on Friday. She hit another home run and drove in three in the game two win (5-2). She also went 2-for-3 in the final contest with the Huskies.
Â
Flannery opened the week by hitting a home run as part of the Ducks' school record 15-run first inning Monday versus Abilene Christian. She finished that game 3-for-3 with four RBI and tied the school record by scoring four runs. She was a double away from hitting for the cycle.
Â
Flannery is the first position player to be named NFCA Player of the Week since Jenna Lilly in 2015. Lyndsey Grein was the NFCA's Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 25.
Â
Oregon returns to action this weekend to host a three-game series against Illinois.
