Football Practice Report: Sept. 23
09/23/25 | Football
The Ducks are preparing to play at Penn State on Saturday (4:30 p.m. PT, NBC).
EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team was in full pads for practice Tuesday, as the Ducks continued gearing up for Saturday's game at Penn State.
The game will be a rematch of last season's Big Ten Championship Game, which the Ducks won. ESPN's "College GameDay" pregame show will be on hand, and the Nittany Lions have asked their fans for a "white-out" in the stands.
Following Tuesday's practice, tight end Kenyon Sadiq, defensive back Dillon Thieneman and defensive back Jadon Canady met with local media. Video of those interviews is embedded below.
Some highlights from Sadiq …
On facing the Nittany Lions after his breakout game against them last December: "Yeah, last year I had a great game against Penn State. So, you know, I'm trying to go out there and replicate that. But they have good returning players, a couple edge rushers, linebackers as well. So those are all great players; just got to go out there and execute."
On dealing with the crowd on the road this Saturday: "I think Coach Lanning said it great today — it's a white-out because it's Oregon. So you know, they know what's coming and we know what's coming. So it's going out there and seeing who executes the best. It's just about eliminating the crowd aspect and going in there and playing our game."
On his improvements as a blocker in the run game: "A lot of people said I couldn't do it. So I think every day I kind of got to remind myself that it's something people thought I wouldn't be able to do, and I think I'm doing a great job of it. So it's just continuing that mindset. We're starting to face off against a lot better edge rushers, so it's just keeping that mentality going forward."
