
Ducks Move to 3-0

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon remained unbeaten on the season with a 6–1 victory over Portland State on Wednesday evening in a nonconference men's tennis dual at Eugene.
The Ducks (3–0) secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Matthew Burton and Pierre Mouesca opened the match with a 6–3 win at No. 1 doubles, and Vlad Breazu and Declan Galligan followed with a 7–5 victory on court three to clinch the early advantage.
Oregon carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches in straight sets. Breazu was first off the court, rolling to a 6–2, 6–2 win over Aarjun Pandit at No. 2 singles. Lachlan Robertson extended the lead with a 7–5, 6–0 victory over Ignacio Ruiz on court four.
Cameron Burton earned a 6–4, 6–2 decision against Edoardo Cravanzola at No. 5 singles, while Russell Soohoo added a 6–3, 6–3 win over Luke Lu on court six. Mouesca capped Oregon's scoring with a 6–1, 6–4 win over Luca Prino at the top of the lineup.
Portland State's lone point came at No. 3 singles, where Maas Schotanus defeated Matthew Burton 7–5, 6–4.
