Transfer Pierre Mouesca, who played at No.1 on Sunday, made his mark with commanding wins in both his doubles and singles matches. Other newcomers Cameron Burton, Declan Galligan, Daniel Hughes, and Will Semler also picked up wins in their season debut.
This match marks the 2026 spring season opener for both the Pilots and the Vikings following a productive fall slate. This weekend will mark Oregon's 14th meeting with Portland State, and the Ducks look to extend their 13-game winning streak.
This weekend will be the first match since 2022 between Oregon and Portland. Oregon has met Portland 14 times since 2004, with the Ducks recording only one loss against the Pilots in 2005.
