SANTA CLARA, Calif. — No. 15 Oregon used an 11-hit attack to score in every inning and defeat Cal State Fullerton, 7-3, Friday at Santa Clara Softball Stadium.
The Ducks scored one run in the first, second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings and scored twice in the third inning.
Ayanna Shaw went 3-for-3, while Amari Harpr and Elon Butler were both 2-for-3. Butler hit her first home run as a Duck.
Elise Sokolsky threw 4.2 scoreless innings to earn her first win of the season. She allowed five hits, struck out five and did not walk any.
"I just thought that we were really able to come together as a team and did what we needed to do to get the job done," said Sokolsky.
This was Oregon's first game in the Cardinal Classic, which was originally scheduled to be played at Stanford, but due to permitting issues at the Cardinal's new stadium, the event has been moved to different venues in the South Bay.

In the fourth inning, Ma'ake and Katie Flannery singled and Jones walked to load the base. Pinch-runner Elyse Kresho then scored on Oregon's second sacrifice fly of the day, a fly ball to center by Harper.
