A student-athlete on Oregon’s inaugural acrobatics and tumbling team in 2010, Keenyn (Won) Winters returned to her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2026 season.
Winters served as the head coach at Oregon for four years between 2018 and 2021. She began her head coaching career at Hawaii-Pacific and was named the NCATA Coach of the Year in 2014.
The Honolulu native was a foundational member of Oregon's acrobatics and tumbling program as a student athlete, competing with the Ducks to earn the first two NCATA Championships in 2011 and 2012.
OREGON (2018-2021)
Won was named the third head coach in program history on June 29, 2017. Won led Oregon to an 18-11 record over four years while the Ducks were ranked No. 2 nationally by the NCATA in 15 consecutive meets and 21 of 24 over Won’s three seasons as head coach. Under Won, Oregon had nine student-athletes earn NCATA recognitions during the regular season.
Over her eight-year career as a head coach, Won has compiled a 35-25 record with three consecutive appearances in the NCATA semifinals. She has mentored 13 NCATA All-Americans and 17 NCATA individual national champions.
The Ducks returned to the mat after the pandemic for a shortened season in 2021. The Ducks opened the season with a pair of wins, including the most recent victory over No. 1 ranked Baylor. Won coached Oregon to the NCATA Championships, before falling to baylor in the first round.
Oregon got off to 4-1 start to the 2020 season and was scheduled to host the NCATA National Championships before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ducks took home the NCATA Player of the Week award three times, highlighted by senior Payton Coon winning the honor twice. Coon also earned a spot on the NCATA All-Academic team for the second straight year, while 20 student-athletes landed on the NCATA academic honor roll.
During the 2019 season, Won led the Ducks to a 7-3 overall record and a runner-up finish at the NCATA National Championships. At the championships, Oregon defeated No. 7 Hawaii Pacific and No. 3 Azusa Pacific in the quarterfinals and semifinals, before falling to No. 1 Baylor in the final round. The Ducks also won four national titles in the NCATA individual event finals, while Casi Jackson, Addie Lacewell, and Coon earned All-American honors. Off the mat, Won had 18 student-athletes named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll, while Hannah Esterman was the Louise Goodrum Academic Achievement Award recipient.
Won led the Ducks to a 5-4 overall record during her first season. Oregon finished the 2018 season at the NCATA semifinals, where they fell to No. 1 Baylor, 281.410-277.725. However, the Ducks went on to win six titles in the NCATA individual event finals. Won helped Taylor Galvin and Casi Jackson to earn All-American honors.
HAWAII PACIFIC (2014-2017)
Won started the varsity program at Hawaii Pacific University in 2014 and spent four years as the head coach. Named the NCATA Coach of the Year in 2014, Won compiled an overall mark of 17-14, highlighted by back-to-back NCATA semifinal trips in 2015 and 2016. Won led the Sharks to a program record six wins in 2015 and 2017.
She guided eight student-athletes to All-American honors and coached the 2016 NCATA Most Outstanding Athlete Shawna Uehara and 2017 NCATA Newcomer of the Year Makayla Garland.
PLAYING CAREER & PERSONAL
Won helped launch Oregon’s acrobatic and tumbling program in 2010 and was part of the Ducks’ first two NCATA National Championship teams in 2011 and 2012. All told, Won took home five NCATA individual national titles during her three seasons at Oregon. Won graduated from UO in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Won excelled as a competitive cheerleader before committing to Oregon. She was a four-time Hawaii High School Athletics Association (HHSAA) All-State First Teamer while attending Kamehameha-Kapalama High School.
Her senior year she was the HHSAA Cheerleader of the Year, winning the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) national championship in 2007 and 2008.
