Returned from missing the entire 2014 season with injury to make 16 starts ... Posted a 2-5 record with a 4.10 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 79.0 innings pitched ... Made a strong first start in the season opener at Hawaii, allowing just two hits over four scoreless innings with four strikeouts ... Allowed just one earned run over three starts from Feb. 19 to March 6, striking out six and allowing eight hits over 11.0 innings pitched ... After allowing eight runs in 1.2 innings pitched against Arizona, put together consecutive strong starts against Michigan State and Oregon State ... Threw 5.1 scoreless innings against the Spartans and followed that up with seven innings against the Beavers, allowing just one earned run with five strikeouts ... From May 1 to May 22, strung together four consecutive quality starts, allowing nine runs over 27.2 innings pitched ... Named a freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger (1st team), Baseball America (1st Team), Perfect Game (1st Team) and the NCBWA (2nd Team) ... Named to the Pac-12 honorable mention all-conference team after setting a new Oregon record for wins in a season ... Finished with a 12-3 record and a 2.48 ERA ... Threw a team-high 116.0 innings, the second most in school history, while striking out 60 batters ... Had a four of Oregon’s complete games, including two shutouts ... Started 16 games matching teammate Tommy Thorpe and Tyler Anderson (2010) for the fourth most in a season in Oregon history ... Played in the 2011 Under Armour All-American game at Wrigley Field, while playing for the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2011 Area Code Games ... Named first-team All-Trinity League and second-team All-Orange County as a junior at Servite High School, and was also named his club’s most valuable pitcher with a 1.40 ERA ...
