The Cascade High School product and Aumsville, Ore., resident racked up 12 top-eight finishes in the state track championships her four prep seasons, and also scored top-30 placings as a junior and senior in cross country.
Prep: On the oval, she took top eight in three events all four 3A state championships as a senior in 2004 (1,500, seventh, 4:52.17; 3,000, eighth, 10:52.39; 4x400, fourth, 4:04.20 (4:08.30q)), junior in 2003 (1,500, eighth, 4:56.74; 3,000, fourth, 10:49.98; 4x400, fourth, 4:03.32), sophomore in 2002 (1,500, seventh 4:56.75; 3,000, second 10:42.06; 4x400, first 3:59.91 (4:03.88-q)) and freshman in 2001 (1,500, sixth; 3,000, third; 4x400, first). In cross country, she made a pair of state appearances individually and placed fourth as a junior in 2002 (19:46) and 27th as a senior in 2003 (20:29). District champion in 1,500 and 3,000 as a sophomore, junior and senior Honored as region athlete of year in 2002. Also lettered four seasons in soccer as a midfielder and two seasons in basketball.
