Another highly-touted in-state distance prospect that will see immediate action for the Ducks in cross country and track and field. Graduated in spring of 2004 with Oregon 3A state track records for the 800 (2:12.04) and 1,500 (4:31.92), and was a three-time state champion in cross country and three times combined in the 800/1,500.
Prep: In cross country, she led Philomath to the 2003 team title as a senior with her 12-second individual win (18:33) after similar titles as a junior (18:49) and sophomore (18:54), and the latter also part of the team title. She also competed in the Oregon-Washington Border Clash as a sophomore (22nd, 16:17) and senior (eighth, 16:46), and the FootLocker West Regional as a senior (57th, 19:47). As a senior in the 3A state championships at Hayward Field in Eugene in late May, she finished second in the 3,000 (10:28.80) and ran on the 4x100 (10th-prelim, 52.00) and 4x400 relays (10th-prelim, 4:11.04). At season’s end, she ranked first in the 3A and fifth overall in the state in the 3,000 (personal best 10:10.90). As a junior she won the 3A state 800 (meet record 2:12.78, 2:15.27-prelim) and 1,500 (4:31.92), and added legs on the 4x100 (second, 50.55, 50.86-prelim) and 4x400 relays (third, 4:03.30, 4:04.69-prelim). She also placed top 10 as a sophomore in the state finale in three events (800, seventh, 2:26.93, 2:19.31-prelim; 1,500, 10th, 4:59.46; 4x400, sixth, 4:05.54, 4:03.13-prelim) and once as a freshman (800, first, 2:21.28). Also lettered four season in soccer as a sweeper anc central midfielder. Also played ultimate frisbee. Named Valedictorian of her class with a 4.0 GPA and was an eight-time academic all-american.
