The former 2006-07 USA Junior Outdoor Championships competitor and his twin brother Eric add to Oregon’s deep junior class.
2009-10: Outdoors - Ran at the Oregon Preview and the Oregon Relays. Cross Country - Appeared at the Pre’s Trail Pre-View.
2008-09: Saw action in five meets, including three races at 800 meters. Set a personal best with a time of 1:52.91 at the Oregon Twilight. Did not compete indoors. Raced four times in cross county. Was top-six on the team at the Pre’s Trail Run, the Beaver Classic and the Mike Hodges Invitational. Also ran at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Season Bests: Outdoors - 800 Meters - 1:52.19 (PR), Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. (5/9/09).
2007-08: Saw action in the steeplechase at the Pepsi Team Invite and the Oregon Preview. Indoors, ran the mile at the Husky Classic. Was among the top freshmen for the national champion cross country team. Competed in four events and ranked top-seven in three of them. Scored in Ducks’ fifth spot in the Sunriver Open (seventh, 19:29) and Beaver Classic (12th, 25:14). Also raced for squad in the Mike Hodges Invitational and Dellinger Invitational.
2006-07: Redshirt. Raced unattached twice in cross country in the Willamette Invitational (eighth, 24:41) and Mike Hodges Invitational. Outdoors on the track, competed unattached in the 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters and three of his 1,500 meter races were sub-3:53.00, including his personal best at the Prefontaine Classic ‘B section’ (third, 3:50.56). Capped season with appearance in USA Junior Championships final (11th). Season Bests: Outdoors - 1,500 Meters - 3:50.56, Pre Classic ‘B’ Section, Eugene, Ore. (6/9/07).
Prep: Teamed with twin brother Eric to help squad win four 2A state cross county team titles. Was a three-time top-20 state finisher (seventh - 2005, second - ’04, 20th - ’03). Finished fourth in the 2004 Nike Team Nationals to earn Foot Locker invitation, and added a 12th-place finish in 2005, while his team won and took second, respectively. State track placer as a senior (1,600 meters, eighth, 4:16.11) and junior (1,600 meters, second, 4:15.42; 4x800 meter relay, first, 7:51.59). Ran on winning distance medley relay in the 2006 Nike Outdoor Nationals.
