Third-year graduate assistant Eddy Morrissey arrived at Oregon after spending two seasons as the running backs coach and the recruiting coordinator at the University of Massachusetts. While at UMass, Morrissey coached a two-time first-team all-conference running back and its recruiting class was ranked No. 2 in the country in 2004.
Morrissey assisted with the Ducks’ defensive line in 2006 before moving to the offensive side of the football last year.
Prior to his time at UMass, Morrissey coached at Northeastern from 1999-2003, working with the running backs in 1999 before switching to the wide receivers from 2000-2003.
From 1997-1999, he coached at Brown University, coaching the defensive backs in 1997 and the running backs in 1998 and 1999. Brown won the Ivy League in 1999. Morrissey also served as the special teams coordinator from 1998-1999.
Following his graduation from Plymouth State College in 1992, he remained as a student assistant in 1993. Morrissey, a quarterback in college, then became a graduate assistant at Springfield College from 1994-1996.
