PERSONAL — Born Nicholas Alexander Rowland on Jan. 30, 1992 in Phoenix, Ariz. Parents: Jim Dixon and Jeannie Harrison. Family: One sister. High School (Coach): Centennial (Dick Taylor), 2010. Major: Accounting.
2010 — Arrived on campus in June and started classes summer term.
BEFORE OREGON — Played offensive and defensive line for head coach Richard Taylor at Centennial High School of the 5A Desert West League • Tacoma News Tribune Western 100 selection • Tacoma News Tribune called him “the West’s top prospect at offensive line” • A PrepStar Magazine All-American • USA Junior Football Team selection • Arizona Republic All-State Team – 2009 • Arizona Football Coaches Association All-State Team – 2009 • Named first-team all-region and all-Arizona after his junior season • Named second-team all-region following his sophomore campaign • Helped the Coyotes advance to the state championship game and a 13-1 season in 2009 and was part of a 39-game win streak at Centennial HS • As a senior, blocked for a team that racked up 3,724 yards on the ground and one 2,000+ yard rusher in addition to passing for 2,037 yards and scoring 77 total touchdowns • As a junior, the Coyotes rushed for 3,491 yards and passed for 1,751 more en route to a 14-0 record and state championship • As a sophomore, won a state championship with the Coyotes as the team passed for 2,038 yards and rushed for 3,406 more • Rated a four-star recruit and the nation’s No. 4 offensive guard by Scout.com • The No. 9 guard and No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Arizona in addition to being a four-star by Rivals.com • A three-star recruit and No. 29 guard by ESPN.com.
