2011— One of UO’s top reserves on the offensive line, appearing in 11 games at tackle and guard … Saw a season-high 48 snaps in win vs. Oregon State … Bested all offensive linemen by benching 395 pounds during winter conditioning … Also finished third at his position in the electronic 10-yard (1.91) and electronic 20-yard dash (3.17).
2010 — First enrolled at Oregon for start of 2010 winter term, allowing him to participate in spring drills . . . Paced all offensive linemen during winter workouts with a 375-lb. bench press.
BEFORE OREGON — Rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com … Rated the No. 7 JC OT in the nation according to Scout.com … Signed with Fresno State out of HS before deciding to enroll in JC … Played for head coach George Rush at CCSF, the same JC program that produced notable Ducks Jeremiah Masoli, Blake Ferras and Matthew Harper … Played both guard and tackle and was a junior college all-American for the 9-1 Rams in 2009 … Prepped at Bakersfield Christian High School, winners of the CIF Central Section Division V state title in 2007… BCHS rushed for 2,925 yards in Clanton’s senior season and scored an amazing 55 touchdowns on the ground as the Eagles went 11-2 in route to the state championship.
