Fall 2008: Tied for 37th in the OSU Giustina Memorial (74-72-77-223).
2007-08: Competed in three tournaments as an individual before seeing his varsity first spring action for the Ducks in the Pac-10 Championships. Tied for 25th at the Duck Invitational (77-71-77-225). In fall play, competed in the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge, tying for 51st (81-77-83-241).
Before Oregon: Was a 4-time West Valley League scholar athlete at Westide Christian High School. His team was the 2A/1A state champions in the 2006 and 2007 seasons for coach Roger Allcroft. Individually, was the 3A Oregon state champion in 2007 and 2006, as well as the 2006 Central Oregon junior champion, and was a member of the 2006 Hogan Cup Team. Career low round of 66.
Personal: Born Eric James Grimberg on February 20, 1989, in Portland, Ore. Parents Dan, who played baseball for Linfield College, and Kim Grimberg. Has one younger sister, Elise. Majoring in business.
