Bio
2006-07
Senior leader who can really drive the ball. Capable of consistently scoring in the 60s when on top of his game. Played in four fall tournaments and won the Northwest Collegiate Classic (67-74-69-210) for his first tournament win at Oregon. Helped the Ducks claim the team title at that tournament. Also had a top five finish at Pacific Dunes (73-75-76-224) in the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge. Qualified for the U.S. Amateur at Winged Foot.
2005-06
Played in eight tournaments and ranked fifth on the team with a 75.6 scoring average. Inconsistent spring where he played in four tournaments, but had only one top-30 finish. That was the Duck invitational, where he tied for 29th (70-79-74-223). Competed in four fall events. Best finish was a tie for 13th at the Northwest Collegiate Classic (71-71-73-216). Also played in the junior varsity Washington Winter Championships where he was second (79-77-70-226).
2004-05
Finished regular season with a string of five straight top-14-or-better finishes. Oregon’s No. 2 golfer with a 73.3 scoring average. An all-Pac-10 second team selection. Had a brilliant start to the fall at the Northwest Collegiate Classic, where he shot 65-74-69-208 for a second-place finish and a low round of 65 just two off the school record of 63 (by Jimmy White at the same event in 2003). Improved dramatically to lead the Ducks at a number of spring events, particularly at the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford where he shot 70-68-71-209 for a tie for second-place. Had four other top-20 finishes, including a tie for sixth at Oregon’s Duck Invitational (71-69-74-214) and a tie for third at the Western Invitational (71-70-141), where he led the Ducks to a first-place finish. Tied for 14th at the Pac-10 championships (75-71-69-70-285). At the NCAA West Regional: never got on the right track in his first poor tournament of the spring and tied for 128th (77-83-77-237). Qualified for the 2004 U.S. Amateur Public Links championship.
2003-04
Played in 11 events with a 75.2 scoring average to rank seventh on the team. Had a pair of top-25 finishes. Six top-50 finishes. Tied for 13th at the Duck Invitational (75-73-73-221). Tied for 24th at the Pac-10 Championships 72-80-71-78-301). Tied for 46th at the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate with rounds of 73-71-76-220. Tied for 44th at the U.S. Intercollegiate (79-72-73-224). Shot a season-low round of 71 four times -- at the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate, the TaylorMade Waikoloa Intercollegiate, the U.S. Intercollegiate and the Pac-10 Championships.
2002-03
Redshirt season. Qualified for the 2002 U.S. Amateur.
