2005-06
Reserve point guard will be stronger and more prepared for the rigors of Pac-10 play his second go-round. Great instincts and understands how to be a team player.
2004-05
Started season strong, but struggled a bit as the year wore on. Appeared in 20 games and started at Stanford. Averaged 1.1 points per game. Opened year with three assists and a pair of rebounds versus Idaho State. Two points and two assists in win over Marshall. Scored three points against both Vanderbilt and Illinois. Season-high of six points and three assists in win over Portland.
BEFORE OREGON
Played his freshman season (2003-04) at Casper College in Casper, Wyo., where he led the T-Birds to an 18-12 record and the Wyoming Conference championship. Team captain averaged 14 points, four rebounds and three assists per game in being named to the all-Region IX team. Led Casper in scoring, assists and steals. At John Adams High School in South Bend, Ind., averaged 16.7 points, eight rebounds and four steals per game his senior season. Named Associated Press all-state honorable mention and was a South Bend Tribune all-star. Finished his career ranked fourth on the school’s all-time scoring list (1,042 points). A three-year starter and a two-time all-Northern Indiana Conference selection. Also played football and ran track (200 meters) at John Adams.
PERSONAL
Born Kenneth D. Love, Jr., February 9, 1985, in South Bend, Ind. Parents are Ken and Rhonda Love. Has three younger sisters. Both parents played basketball for Lake Michigan College, a junior college in Benton Harbor, Mich. Mother played volleyball there as well. High School (Coach): John Adams (Pat King). Junior College (Coach): Casper College (Bill Johnson). Major is sociology.
