Inico Breaks UO Indoor 200 Record

Senior Kedar Inico led the way with an NCAA provisional qualifier in his first career indoor race for the Ducks. The Queens, N.Y. native sped to a narrow .01-second win in the 200 (21.19), ahead of Boise State's Antoine Echols (21.20) as both met the NCAA provisional standard of 21.23. The former junior college indoor national 400 champion also broke UO's indoor 200 record of 21.26 set by former All-American Pat Johnson in the Mountain Pacific Championships in
In the same event, All-America hurdler and junior Eric Mitchum tied for fourth (21.95) in a 200 personal best, and ended just ahead of junior Travis Anderson (sixth, 22.21) ? and both met the Mountain Pacific mark of 22.44.
Fellow Duck indoor newcomer and junior Richard DelRincon added wins in the 60 final (6.80) and prelims (6.79), and just missed the NCAA provisional mark (6.72) by less than .08 seconds in each race.
