NAMPA, Idaho ? A mix of University of Oregon men's sprinters, hurdlers and decathletes collected one NCAA provisional mark and school record, seven wins and 11 Mountain Pacific Championships marks in their season debuts in the Hampton Inn & Suites Classic, hosted by Boise State at Jacksons Track in the Idaho Sports Center.

Senior Kedar Inico led the way with an NCAA provisional qualifier in his first career indoor race for the Ducks. The Queens, N.Y. native sped to a narrow .01-second win in the 200 (21.19), ahead of Boise State's Antoine Echols (21.20) as both met the NCAA provisional standard of 21.23. The former junior college indoor national 400 champion also broke UO's indoor 200 record of 21.26 set by former All-American Pat Johnson in the Mountain Pacific Championships in Reno in 1996.

In the same event, All-America hurdler and junior Eric Mitchum tied for fourth (21.95) in a 200 personal best, and ended just ahead of junior Travis Anderson (sixth, 22.21) ? and both met the Mountain Pacific mark of 22.44.

Fellow Duck indoor newcomer and junior Richard DelRincon added wins in the 60 final (6.80) and prelims (6.79), and just missed the NCAA provisional mark (6.72) by less than .08 seconds in each race. On the UO all-time indoor list, he moved to second behind two-time indoor All-American Samie Parker (6.62). The transfer from Cuyamaca College in El Cajon, Calif., DelRincon also added third in the 200 (21.59) with another Mountain Pacific qualifier.

In the 60 hurdles, Mitchum added a sweep of the final (7.95) and prelim (7.94), and was a hair off the NCAA provisional mark of 7.91.

Junior Matt Scherer won his collegiate debut in the 800 (1:54.25) by more than two seconds over Boise State's Bryan Rodie (1:56.68), and met the Mountain Pacific standard (1:55.64). The Sumner, Ill., native doubled back at meet's end to anchor the 4x400 combo of Anderson, DelRincon and Inico to the win (3:12.43) by more than 2 1/2 seconds over BYU (second, 3:15.09).

UO's other sprint entry was senior Roderick Dotts (400, sixth, 50.07).

Oregon's decorated decathlon crew also competed in various events to prepare for their indoor heptathlon season debut two weekends away in Moscow, Idaho. NCAA decathlon veteran and redshirt junior Andy Young competed in the 60 hurdles (final, seventh, 8.91; prelims, seventh, 8.81) and high jump (eighth-tie, 6-2 3/4). Fellow Pac-10 scoring returnee and junior Ryan Voge led the squad in the high jump with a Mountain Pacific qualifier (second, 6-6 3/4) and ran the 60 hurdles (eighth-prelims, 8.93).

Two newcomers ? junior and Lane CC transfer Cody Fleming and sophomore and Eastern Washington transfer Wes Lloyd ? were also busy Saturday. Lloyd led the multi-event corps in the 60 hurdles with a Mountain Pacific qualifier (final ? third, 8.49; prelims - third, 8.60), and Fleming saw duty in the high jump (8^th-tie, 6-2 3/4) and 60 (13^th-prelims, 7.40).

The decathlon quartet of Fleming, Lloyd, Voge and Young also combined for a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 relay (3:23.36).
