
Bristow and Little Tie for 21st in Stanford Finale

STANFORD, Calif. ? University of Oregon senior Cathryn Bristow and sophomore Kendra Little paced the No. 27 UO women's golfers and tied for 21st place individually in the final standings of the Stanford Intercollegiate Sunday.
As a team, the Ducks placed 12th in the all-star field and eclipsed 300 for the third straight day Sunday on the par 71, 6,092-yard Stanford Course (291-291-295-877).
Bristow and Little shot par 71 rounds in Sunday's finale to climb nine spots in the overall standings.
In her first collegiate tournament, freshman Ashley Edwards followed in a tie for 57th overall (72-73-78-223), while sophomore Monika Graf (64th-tie, 72-76-77-225) and junior Felicia Eastick (74th-tie, 75-79-76-230) counted their scores Sunday toward UO's third-round tally. Sophomore Erica Omlid also played in the event as an individual and tied for 66th overall (75-74-78-227).
Overall in the team results, No. 3 UCLA held onto to its lead to win by three strokes (277-285-282-844) over No. 1 USC (second, 279-285-282-847).
No. 19 Stanford followed in third place (279-292-286-857), ahead of No. 5 Oklahoma State (fourth, 278-289-292-850), No. 9 Duke (fifth, 285-291-285-861), No. 6 Vanderbilt (sixth, 289-285-291-865), No. 31 Arizona (seventh, 282-289-295-866), No. 18 California (eighth-tie, 284-292-296-872), No. 24 Arkansas (eighth-tie, 282-299-291-872), No. 14 Pepperdine (10th-tie, 287-290-298-875), No. 59 Texas (10th-tie, 295-288-292-875) and No. 27 Oregon (12th, 291-291-295-877).
Other teams in the 16-team field included No. 47 New Mexico (13th, 282-304-292-878), No. 58 UNLV (14th, 287-298-297-882), No. 25 Washington (15th, 296-300-297-893) and No. 39 Oregon State (16th, 312-307-304-923).
On the individual side, Lizette Salas of USC improved a position the final day to win by two strokes (66-72-68-206) over Oklahoma State's Caroline Masson (second, 65-70-73-208), and Belen Mozo of USC finished in third place (third, 68-71-70-209).
In Saturday's second, Bristow, Little and Edwards were tied for 30th overall, while UO stood 11th in the team race.
Other Duck individual placings after Saturday's second round follow: Graf (52nd-t, 72-76-148), Omlid (59t, 75-74-149) and Eastick (73rd-tie, 75-79-154).
For comparison's sake in Friday's opening round, Edwards, Graf and Bristow were tied for 34th overall with their 1-over scores of 72 while UO stood 13th overall with its 291 first-round score. Other UO first-day results follow: Eastick (63rd-tie, 4-over 75), Little (68th-tie, 76) and Omlid (63rd, 75).
Looking ahead, the Ducks return to action next to cap their fall campaign at the Kent Youel Invitational, Tuesday-Wednesday, October 28-29 in Oahu, Hawai'i.
