Ducks Finish Play At Pac-10 Championships

OJAI, Calif. - The Oregon men's tennis team finished play at the Pac-10 Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Ducks doubles team of Francisco Gallardo and Stephen Wiechert had its run ended in the semifinals of the Men's Doubles Invitational bracket with an 8-4 loss to Cal's No. 3 seeded tandem of Jonathan Dahan and Bozhidar Katsarov.
Oregon finished its regular season with a record of 11-14 with an 0-7 mark in conference action.
The Ducks were a fairly young squad with only one upperclassmen, junior Mikael Myrhed. The majority of the roster was made up of the six-member sophomore class which includes Alex Cornelissen, Geoff Embry, Francisco Gallardo, Romeo Mortera, Marcos Verdasco and Stephen Wiechert. The Ducks two freshmen are Duncan MacDonald-Korth and Doug Mayeda.
