Ducks Defeat Washington State, 74-66

EUGENE, Ore. -- Junior forward LeKendric Longmire had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the University of Oregon men's basketball team to a 74-66 home win over Washington State in the regular season finale for both schools.
Four Ducks scored in double figures in the win, the third in the last four games for Oregon. Freshman forward E.J. Singler had 15 points, while senior guard Tajuan Porter and sophomore forward Jeremy Jacob had 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Ducks 50.0 percent from the field (26-of-52), while limiting the Cougars to just 35.7 percent shooting (20-of-56).
Klay Thompson had a game-best 22 points for WSU. DeAngelo Casto added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
A near sell-out crowd of 8,761 watched the Ducks beat the Cougars (16-14, 7-11) to prevent a last-place finish in the Pac-10 for the second straight season.
Oregon (15-15, 7-11 Pac-10) will have rematch with Washington State in next Wednesday's match-up between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds.

PORTER GETTING CLOSE: Tajuan Porter had two more 3-pointers on Saturday and needs just five more in the conference tournament to break the Pac-10 career record set by Salim Stoudamire.
LAST PAC IN MAC: A crowd of 8, (largest crowd this season) packed inside Mac Court to send the historic venue off in style. It was the last Pac-10 game to be played in the venue with Matthew Knight Arena scheduled to open up after the non-conference season next year. It was head coach Ernie Kent's 145th career victory inside Mac Court and his 234th overall career win leading the Ducks.
