FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The University of Oregon women's golf team opened its season Monday tied for fifth place after the first two rounds of the Ptarmigan Ram Intercollegiate, hosted at the Ptarmigin Country Club.
Individually for UO, senior Kendra Little was tied for eighth overall (68-74-142) after she finished one shot shy of her career low in the first round on the par-72 6,302-yard course (while that same round tied for sixth-lowest in school history).
The Eugene, Ore., native shot five birdies in a nine-hole stretch in the middle of the first round, to go along with 12 par scores and only one bogey on the first hole. In the second round, she added three more birdies, 10 par scores and five bogeys.

Among the remaining Duck birdie counts, Hickle and Edwards each claimed seven, followed by Omlid (5) and Dyer (2).
Glancing at the team's history books, Little paced UO for the 43rd time in her 103 rounds for the Ducks and also enjoyed her 16th under-par score. Hickle's second-round leader for UO was the 11th of her career and her third round at par or better.
Overall in the individual standings, Idaho's Kayla Montellaro (first, 70-67-137) owned a one-stroke lead over California's Daniela Holmqvist (second, 70-68-138).
