Quotable: Head Coach Nils Schyllander
“It was a good effort today, Loyola Marymount is a good team. It's great to see our freshmen come and play with great energy in doubles, they really set the tone for the whole dual match. Other than that, I thought we had a lot of really good efforts out there. I think Kevin and Jayson did a fantastic job in both singles and doubles. I'm pleased.”
Associate Head Coach Jonas Piibor
“Today we played a really good team. Three years ago we lost to them; they are a really well coached team… I think we came out with the right energy and focus, and most spots we played and competed really well.”
Next Up: The Ducks will get the opportunity to hit the road and compete against one of the best programs in the country next weekend in No. 6 North Carolina. Oregon will play the Tar Heels on Friday, Jan. 23 at 10:30 p.m. (PT) and then face the winner of the Virginia Tech and Alabama match on Saturday, Jan. 24.
