Scavo Leads Ducks on Final Day of Windy City Collegiate

The Oregon women's golf team shot a 17-over 301 on Tuesday to round out the Windy City Collegiate in a tie for 12th place overall
CHICAGO – The Oregon women's golf team shot a 17-over 301 on Tuesday to round out the Windy City Collegiate in a tie for 12th place overall at Northmoor Country Club.
How It Happened: The Ducks (297, 304, 301 - 902, +50) entered Tuesday's third round in 14th place overall, and rose two spots across the final 18 holes to finish at 50 over. Arizona State claimed the team title, finishing at 1-under par.
Junior Kathleen Scavo, who led the Ducks on Monday with a pair of 2-over 73 rounds, remained consistent with another 2-over 73 in the final round to finish the tournament as the top Duck at 6 over and in a tie for 20th. Scavo sunk a pair of birdies on Tuesday to finish with a team-best nine for the tournament. Oklahoma State's Maddy McCrary was the individual winner at 6 under.
Sophomore Amy Matsuoka had a solid first round at even par, but struggled a bit in the second round before shooting a 5-over 76 on Tuesday to finish tied for 53rd at 13 over.
Freshman Alexis Padungmartvorakul, coming off a phenomenal collegiate debut at the East and West Match Play, finished 5-over 76 in all three rounds of the tournament to end at 15 over and tie for 57th. Junior Petra Salko was right behind on the overall leaderboard at 16 over 229 in a tie for 60th after a 5-over 76 in the final round.
Senior Kelsey Ulep shot an 8-over 79 in the first round, but was forced to withdraw from the rest of the tournament due to injury.
