PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Oregon women's tennis team closed out play at the ITA All-American Championships Wednesday as the doubles pairs of Alyssa Tobita and Rifanty Kahfiani along with Shweta Sangwan and Julia Eshet fell in the second round of qualifying.
How it Happened: Both Duck doubles teams opened day two of qualifying play bright and early once again Wednesday morning.
The seventh-seeded duo of Sangwan and Eshet faced off against Florida Atlantic's Aliona Bolsova and Natalia Boltinskaya falling to the Owl pair 8-4.
It was a similar result for Tobita and Kahfiani as the Kansas team of Nina Khmelnitchkaia and Anastasia Rychagova got the better of the Ducks 8-3.
What it Means: With their losses today, the Ducks close out play at the All-Americans and return to Eugene to continue their fall season.
