No. 9 Ducks Host Ole Miss Sunday

EUGENE, Ore. - The No. 9 ranked Oregon women's basketball team meets its second of three straight SEC foes on Sunday when Ole Miss visits Matthew Knight Arena for a 1 PM tip on Pac-12 Networks.

HEBARD AGAINST THE SEC
In a pair of SEC road games this season - at No. 19 Texas A&M and at No. 5 Mississippi State - Ruthy Hebard has been amazing. In the two games, Hebard scored 49 combined points on 21-of-22 shooting with 15 rebounds. Oregon meets SEC members Ole Miss (Sunday) and Texas A&M (Dec. 21) for a second time in its next two games.
LAST YEAR AGAINST OLE MISS
Oregon jumped into the top-25 last year prior to a road trip to Clemson and Ole Miss. At No. 25, it was Oregon's first AP poll ranking since the 2003-04 season. The Ducks defeated Clemson to start the trip, with Sabrina Ionescu posting a triple-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. During practice the night before the Ole Miss game, Ionescu injured her thumb. She started against the Rebels and tried to play through the pain but only was on the floor for seven minutes before sitting. Without Ionescu, the Ducks never led in the game and fell, 83-67, to the Rebels. The Ducks commited 17 turnovers. Ruthy Hebard had a big game in the post with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting and eight rebounds. Mallory McGwire had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. NAISMITH, WADE TROPHY WATCH LISTS
- Both Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard have been named to the 50-player Naismith Trophy watch list. The award, organized by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, goes to the top player in the NCAA.
- Ionescu was also named to the Wade Trophy watch list. The Wade Trophy is presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and is also awarded to the top player in the NCAA.
