LOS ANGELES – No. 9 Oregon closed the game on a 14-2 run in the final three minutes and defeated No. 14 UCLA, 70-61, on Sunday night at Pauley Pavilion.

UCLA led by four, 55-51, with 6:02 left in the fourth but Oregon battled back and took the lead, 60-59, on a pair of free throws by Satou Sabally with 2:10 remaining. Lexi Bando hit a huge three-pointer to give the Ducks a 63-59 lead with just 58.8 seconds left. Oregon knocked down seven free throws in the final 40 seconds to ice the game.
WHAT IT MEANS: The Ducks are now 4-0 league play, tied with Arizona State for first place. Oregon has a two-game lead on UCLA, which was picked to finish first in the Pac-12 preseason poll.
BOX SCORE: Ruthy Hebard finished with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. She scored 14 points in the second half, including eight straight for the Ducks to open up the fourth quarter.
