Ducks to Play in Two Finals Sunday

EUGENE, Ore. – With a pair of semifinal wins Saturday, the Oregon men's tennis team will play for two tournament titles on the final day at the Duck Invitational. Ty Gentry picked up a three-set win to secure his spot in the final of the green bracket while Armando Soemarno and Charles Roberts will play for the doubles crown.
Sunday's matches begin at 9 a.m. PT at the Student Tennis Center, starting with the doubles.

Soemarno and Roberts will be playing for their second title of the fall, having won the UCSB Classic in early October. With Saturday's 8-4 victory, the duo has won six of its seven matches this season. Oregon's opponent in the title match will be Portland who will be represented by Eleftherios Neos and Nicklas Oberg.
Gentry downed Philip Hjorth of Pacific in the last match on court Saturday evening. With the match tied at one set each, Gentry broke Hjorth's serve in the second game of the third set and again in the final game of the match to seal the 7-5, 6-7(9), 6-2 victory. Gentry will take on Carlos Donat of Portland in Sunday's green-bracket final.
There were two rounds of singles play Saturday with four Ducks advancing to the semifinal round of the green and yellow brackets. Gentry was joined in that round by teammates Riki Oshima, Charles Roberts and Evan Felcher.
