Two Finals, Two Titles at the Duck Invite
11/04/18 | Men's Tennis
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's tennis team captured a pair of titles Sunday to close out the Duck Invitational at the Student Tennis Center. Armando Soemarno and Charles Roberts took the doubles title while junior Ty Gentry swept his way to the singles crown.
"Like any fall tournament you're going to win some and lose some but there were some really good, bright spots this weekend," head coach Nils Schyllander said. "Charlie and Armando really got their doubles back on track after regionals. They did a really good job responding and it was good to see the practices, pay off.
"Obviously, another bright spot is Ty. His level was high all weekend and was about as good as I've seen him play. Most importantly, he showed so much maturity on the court and being on target with his game plan. He was locked in all weekend and it was great to see."
Sunday Results

Soemarno/Roberts (UO) def. Neos/Oberg (UP) – 8-2
